「大谷さんに行って来る」と京都では日常会話でよく聞きます。
大谷祖廟にお墓参りってことです。
わたしの家族だけかもしれませんが・・・。
ちなみに大谷さんには西と東があります。
東大谷さんは通常５時で閉館してしまい夜には参ることはできませんが、
今日から３日間は夜間にもお墓参りができるように境内に約１万個の提灯が献灯されます。
午前中に行くことが多いお墓参りですが、この機会にいつもと違う雰囲気の中、
ご先祖様を敬い手を合わしてみては。
またこの提灯は献灯料を支払えば、名前やメッセージを書く事ができますので、
家族専用として吊るすこともできます。

東山エリアの旅館元奈古です。
本日より本格的に始まるお盆休み。
東山には沢山のお寺がありますので既に昨日からお墓参りの方や、
観光客のお客様で早朝から大変賑わって？います。
また、今日からお盆期間限定で清水寺に続く路で有名な
「一念坂、二年坂、産寧坂」が花灯路でライトアップされます。
この花灯路は毎年３月に開催される「京都東山花灯路」のイベントで使用されている
竹製の行灯でこのお盆の期間には約２００基並べられ散策路を幻想的に彩ります。
同じく清水寺も夜の特別拝観を開催されてますのでお盆の京都をお楽しみください。

Noryo-Yuka is a terrace above the west bank of Kamogawa River from Nijo to Gojo, and dining there is one of the summer attractions in Kyoto. Now they open from May 1st to September 30th.
Noryo-Yuka first appeared in the Edo period, the merchants placed wooden benches in shallows of the Kamogawa River around Gojo when they treated their guests in summer. The flood control and bank protection works were conducted in the 17th century, then tea stalls appeared and started some businesses.
It is very hot and humid summer in Kyoto, however, the lights of the yuka lanterns create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, and a cool breeze blows along the river in the evening. Noryo-Yuka remains in the old days and makes progress still now.
